Water Deficit
A simple Google search tells you that Water Deficits is the lack of available water resources to meet the demands of water usage within a region. Given the amount of rain, rivers and springs we have here, you must be thinking of the pointlessness of this group.
What you may not know is that only 60% of HCMC has access to tap water. The rest make up some of the city’s poorest dwellers. With no access to direct safe water supply, living conditions are often derelict. The piped water supply is not much better. High levels of arsenic, ammonia and various bacteria in the Saigon and Dong Nai River contaminate the water from which our water supply is sourced. And don’t get me started on the contaminants in those bottled water.
